Private Transportation and Public Transportation
As we know that Indonesia is a big country. Travelling from one place to another place would be easier if we used vehicle. And there are two kinds of transportation based on the owner of those vehicles. The first is public transportation, such as buses, trains and taxis. The second is private transportation, such as cars, bicycle, and motorcycle. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages. Here are several examples of both advantages and disadvantages.
We know that public transportation is not as comfort as private transportation. Public transportation is belongings to service public. This transportation can carry a lot of people for a tour. With this mass transportation we can reduce global warming, because we do not need to use our own vehicle. We just need to take this mass transportation and pay for the fee. We do not need to pay for the fuel by ourselves, but we pay it together with other passenger. And it is cheaper also. So we can reduce amount of the vehicle on the road. Of course that would reduce the emission gas of the vehicle and global warming. To support the government policy, this mass transportation must be added and private vehicle should be reduced. In the other hand, this kind of transportation has a limited privacy. Even we do not have any privacy when we use this kind of transportation. Maybe taxis are public transportation which gives more privacy than the other. Sometime in public transportation there is no pleasure, because we have to share every facilities that given.
If you do not like to share your seat to the other, why do not you try to use private transportation? Buy your own vehicle, ride it by yourself, and pay everything it needs by yourself too. This kind of transportation is more expensive than public transportation, because we are responsible to everything that vehicle needs, such as fuel, driver etc. beside that, this kind of transportation make our earth warmer. With the great amount of private transportation, especially cars, the amount of gas emission is increasing rapidly. But private transportation is faster and more comfortable. By our own vehicle we can do anything and go everywhere we want. We can take shorter route in order to save our time. With this transportation, we can use our time more efficient.
Finally, both of transportations have their own advantages and disadvantages. I think riding bicycle is the best solution to get both advantages. In addition to reduce global warming, we get faster. Riding bicycle make us health also. But if you could not use bicycle, it would be better if you used public transportation. Use taxis to get more comfort. And remember, save our earth by reducing any cause of global warming that we can reduce.
