The Communicative and Interactive English for the Third Grade of Senior High School is a teaching textbook for senior high schools based on Kurikulum Berbasis Kompetensi (KBK) that carries the student orientedness, where students who became the core teaching and learning activities. The core material in this book based on the basic needs of an early intermediate to intermediate and is designed so that students will be involved fully in the inquiry learning environment that stimulates and challenges to explore, create, and innovate. Material properties of this book are not a dogmatic theory of language and speaking, but the form of stimuli that arouse curiosity to use the language and struggling with the language interaction and communication.
This book contains basic competency in English (speaking, reading and writing) to be controlled and performanced by students in senior high school level. Grammar enrichment presented in a condensed comprehensive and holistic per topic - not partially - to support a more meaningful linguistic performance and in line with the order-bridge so that in its turn will get linguistic mastery learning achievement (mastery learning). So that the focus directed, listening skills intentionally presented separately from this book.
Unfortunately, Indonesia do not use KBK as its curriculum today. There is a new curriculum which is KTSP (Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan). So, this book is not longer appropiate for the senior high school. It just can be for the second reference only.
This book is intended for SMA/MA, but can also be used for the general public as reference material.
